Date: June 9, 2010

Author : Crina Jilavu

She is a scholar of “Dinu Patriciu” Foundation and is keen on physics and social projects. She is a volunteer and dreams of a career in telecom. Starting with her first years of high-school, she understood how important studying is. As a reward, she obtained a scholarship from “Dinu Patriciu” Foundation and this motivated her to attend extracurricular activities.

“I never thought somebody in Romania could reward you for having good results in school and voluntary activities. After noticing my grades and my résumé impressed the “Dinu Patriciu” Foundation, I promised myself I will do more to help people”, said Daniela.

She is involved in many projects but she enjoyed, most of all, a campaign she attended alongside “Ecoteam” colleagues from National College Ion Minulescu. They gathered wastes, planted trees and learned how to analyze water.

“When you start attending different projects you don’t actually realize how important they will turn out to be. They teach you how to manage, to be organized, to have initiative. For instance, when we went to Cheile Sohodorului, we tested the water and realized that it is polluted in places where tourists usually stop”, Crina explained.
